So I picked up a Canon 430EX a little while ago with a Gary Fong diffuser. I'd like to get into portrait photography but don't really have anyone I can talk into being my guinea pig and don't really know enough about it that I feel confident enough to get something decent out of a session.
Does anyone have any good books they can recommend on lighting and exposure? I try to read a lot on my own, but I'm hoping some of the pro's out there will be able to offer some good sources.
I'm also about to buy a Sigma 10-20. I'm really excited to get it.
Thanks

The search for simplicity will always, in essence, be complicated.
